MAG is a Massive Action Game. No, Seriously.

The final exclusive game unveiled at Sony’s E3 press conference was SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive’s MAG, which stands for — you guessed it — Massive Action Game. Now, just how massive is it? Apparently 256 players. At first it’s rather worrisome seeing as consoles have barely pushed past 32 as of yet, never mind eight times that number. However, much like Resistance 2, the plan is to break the battlefield into multiple 8 player squads — hopefully making it organized chaos, rather than just plain chaos.
Here is the debut trailer for MAG, unfortunately comprised entirely of pre-rendered footage. In other news, Call of Duty is now called a MFPS (Military First Person Shooter) and BioShock, FPSRPGL (First Person Shooter Role Playing Game Lite). Yeah, the name has really got to go before it becomes a trend.
